Refund & Cancellation

Re: Zabalaza Guesthouse Refund & Cancellation Policy
To ensure fair business operations and protect our establishment during peak
seasons, the following refund and cancellation policy applies to all bookings:
1. Non-Refundable Deposits
• All deposits paid to secure a booking are strictly non-refundable, regardless of the
reason for cancellation.
• Deposits cover administrative costs and loss of potential revenue due to closed
booking channels.
2. Peak Season Policy
During peak/holiday seasons, including public holidays and long weekends:
• All bookings are strictly non-refundable once confirmed.
• Cancellations or date changes cannot be accepted due to high demand and limited
availability.
• No-shows or early departures are charged at 100% of the booking value.

3. Standard Season Cancellation Fees
For non-peak periods:
• 14+ days before arrival: 50% refund (deposit remains non-refundable)
• 7–13 days before arrival: 25% refund
• 0–6 days before arrival: No refund (100% cancellation fee)

4. No-Show Policy
• If a guest does not arrive on the scheduled check-in date without prior written
notice, the booking will be automatically cancelled.
• No refunds will be issued, and full payment will be charged.

5. Amendments & Date Changes
• Amendments or date changes are subject to availability.
• Peak-season bookings cannot be changed after confirmation.
• Any approved date change request will incur an administration fee.

6. Early Departures
• Guests who choose to leave earlier than their original stay period will still be liable
for the full booking amount, unless an early departure has been arranged in advance
and formally authorized by management in writing.
• Any early departure approved by management may still be subject to an
administration or adjustment fee.

7. Third-Party Bookings
• If booked through booking platforms (e.g., Booking.com, Airbnb), their refund rules
apply in addition to ours.

8. Force Majeure
• Refunds due to circumstances beyond your control (e.g., illness, travel issues, family
emergencies) are assessed individually, but refunds are not guaranteed. Guests are
encouraged to have personal travel insurance.

9. Acknowledgement
• By confirming a booking and making payment, guests acknowledge and agree to this
policy.
